This trail was the highlight of our visit to Rwanda and a dream come true! Amazing landscapes, stunning views and extraordinary people, what a journey! We biked for two days from Gisenyi to Kibuye and we wished we had had more time to complete the entire trail, but we will definitely come back! Highly recommended! I’ve been on a few adventure bike trips now, but this one was special! Beautiful rural landscapes and people, plus amazing views of Lake Kivu (and a few refreshing dips along the way). Bruno made it easy to plan and book, and Albert is knowledgeable and a lot of fun to ride bikes with. The logistics were seamless and we stayed in some cool lodges/hotels. What an adventure!

During a visit to Kigali, we happened to meet Bruno. We had long dreamed of cycling through Rwanda. When he told us about the Congo Nile Trail, we were immediately hooked.

So, during Christmas 2024, we spent almost a week in the saddle during the day and spent the nights in relaxing accommodations, enjoying Rwandan hospitality. Bruno had organized the whole package for us, including equipment, a guide, and accommodations—it was well structured down to the last detail and worked perfectly.

On our year-long trip around the world, these days cycling in the mountains by Lake Kivu were one of the most memorable experiences!

Had the pleasure of cycling the Congo Nile Trail together with a couple of days with Albert, couldn’t wish for a better guide! He knew everything in terms of history, culture, customs & had wonderful stories to tell. Time flew by very slowly (in a good way that is) as we cycled past villages where we (mostly me haha) were visited with friendly and curious faces. Accomodation was perfect for my standard and I really enjoyed the incredibly well arranged organisation of this trip. For me it was definitely an unforgettable experience which I’ll forever cherish. Thank you again Albert & Bruno for allowing travellers to experience the beauty of Rwanda in this way!

I cycled the trail solo (e-bike). Albert, the guide, was fantastic. He knows everything about the trail and in case of a breakdown (a broken chain), he quickly got me back on track! The transportation to and from Kigali was also well organised! Thanks Bruno and, of course, Albert for this amazing adventure.
